While relaxed on the covered veranda, the morning starts with a spectacular sunrise. The aroma of the frangipani flower is always welcomed. Things to do, but I'll just watch a while longer. Hummingbirds and Banaquits enjoy a breakfast at the flowering Aloe's and Turk's Cap cactus. A Kestrel soars by looking for breakfast as well. The well tended gardens offer a delight of colors from the Croutons, Agaves, Ixoras, Ruellas and other indigenous island plants. Time to check on the pineapple plants, Lemon, Lime and Banana trees. However, distracted by a Mega Yacht gliding through the channel on its way to anchor near Great Camanoe awaiting the fortunate owner flying in on its private jet. A description of Tortola is an Island Surrounded by Sailboats!! Now, seems like a good time to swim a few laps in the 50 ft. lap pool. My mind wonders as I remember the numerous celebrities I have seen over the years from Prince Charles, Sir Richard Branson and many more. They know the BVI is "Natures Little Secret". Purchasing an eco friendly low carbon footprint home makes sense in the Islands. Four season tropical breezes makes this home a delight any time of year, any time of day. It was built and proven to withstand a Category 5 hurricane. The captivating view of 14 islands provides many hours of entertainment. Watching the pelicans, frigates, red tail hawks, osprey and other birds performing their soaring flights on the air currents. The day dashes by with not much accomplished but enjoying island living. The sunset is spectacular with the sun gleaming off Virgin Gorda. Pre dusk, at times the International Space Station can be seen following the coordinates provided by NASA. The moon rises and shimmers on the seas. Full moon parties at Trellis Bay on Beef Island are a short drive to music, food and Moko Jumbie dancers on their stilts. Tomorrow, plan a day at Long Bay Beach, East End, just 10 minutes away. The beach is prized by the Locals but the secret is out. Enjoy one of many, East End local restaurants which are all within a short drive of Hawk's Nest. Another day disappears into the Caribbean way of life. Maybe tomorrow, I will get to the that project I was thinking of doing. Contemplating it on the sundeck or covered south porch that faces the pool. Well, maybe. Drifting off for the night to waves gently breaking on Little Mountain, seeing the mast lights from a sailing vessel anchored for the night at nearby Lee Bay and dreaming of more ........ Another Adventurous Day Around the Sun.
