Originally from Colombia, Johana Aldana Villamizar, built her successful career early on by establishing strong business relationships with clients on a both a national and international level. Looking to broaden her experiences and find a new challenge, Johana joined with her now husband, in a business venture, Transplay Inc., which specializes in the translation and assembly of gaming manuals and packaging, in multiple languages for distribution across the United States, Canada and Latin America. Now a part owner, Johana works with some of the biggest gaming companies in the United States, where she liaises with clients, providing solutions to their needs, and oversees all projects to ensure client satisfaction and high turnaround time. Additionally she manages the activities of the company’s team members over multiple locations.
In 2014 she moved to Canada and on a more personal note, assisted in the creation of Close to Home, a Health and Safety Monitoring company, designed to help families with elderly relatives or those with mobility issues. Their company offered a motion detection system that could be installed throughout the home to ensure the home owner’s well-being and client’s peace of mind. After selling their successfully company, Johana was ready for the next challenge.
Leveraging her education consisting of a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters in Marketing, Johana worked for an international transportation company, Express Cargo Line de Colombia, originally hired as a Commercial Executive, within six months she was promoted to Managing Commercial Exports for the company, where she excelled and established many profitable accounts in addition to providing a high level of service to existing clientele, Johana was successful in expanding the company’s import and export services to several countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Additionally, she hired, trained and supported her own team of sales representatives and provided ongoing training and development, in order to ensure the organization’s clients received the highest level of service.
With personal experience in real estate, being a part owner, developer and manager of five commercial units and two residential properties, the transition to a career in Real Estate was a natural one.
Johana, having already established herself as an honest, ethical and patient individual with a high level of client service and relationship building experience, skills all paramount in the Real Estate industry, knew it was the right fit for her. By familiarizing herself with several of Coldwell Banker Peter Benninger Realty’s Realtors, she was impressed with their level of success and drawn to their ethical approach to business, as well as the accessibility of the management and support teams, and knew that the Brokerages values fell in line with her own.
